I just finished reading an article on The Fourth Rail Blog and was amazed to see that the MSM has not reported that not only has the Bush Administration lost Bin Laden but now they have lost 28 Al Q'aeda and Taliban training camps on the border area of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The article, Pakistan: Concern over nukes as al Qaeda camps emptywas a real eye opener when you consider the real world implications of 28 terror camps simultaneously emptying in an area like the border areas of Pakistan.
I was more concerned that the training camps that have been under observation had suddenly emptied over concerns that this might be indicative of an upcoming attack and the terrorists adopting the Murtha plan of redeployment prior to an attack to reduce targets for retaliatory strikes. I was also concerned about that many missing and unaccounted for terrorists since we are talking about Pakistan and that means Islamic nukes.
I only saw two reasons for the camps to disperse the way they have:
1) They are going all out against President Musharraf and we all need to worry about the safety and security of Musharraf and his nuclear stockpile.
or
2) There is a major attack on the US Homeland that is imminent that would warrant reprisals against terrorist assets all over the world.
There seems to be so much denial in the country these days that we can be hit again or that the events in London with the car bombs, bus bombings, and subway attacks could happen here. The United States has been very fortunate that we have been so proactive in the Middle East militarily and have given the Jihadi's a destination to prove themselves in Iraq and Afghanistan as compared to simply isolating ourselves in the Homeland. I am not sure how long we will be able to avoid attacks here as it has been shown through the foiled plots here in the Homeland that there are viable targets and terrorists willing to attack them.
The Fourth Rail post is very informative and should make for some interesting reading for those of us who get nervous when terrorist disappear.
